african air previously known as star airlines started
its operation in 1998 with charter cargo and passenger
flights to various destinations in eastern part of africa.
Star african air is the only passenger flight going
directly to hargeisa on every monday and thursday without
stop over.
We
have started passenger flights for visa change and tour
package groups to Muscat from Sharjah and Fujairah International
Airports in July 2001. We are operating daily more than
two flights minimum depending upon the traffic. We are
launching flights from Dubai to Muscat also.
We
are also arranging group tour, independent tour, special
interest tour to the United Arab Emirates and other
GCC countries. We design tailored itinerary, book airline
tickets and reserve hotels.
Our
GSA in United Arab Emirates is M/s Sky Way Travels,
Tours and Cargo Co. L.L.C., based in Dubai under the
same management.
With
scheduled services covering Africa, as well as services
to Oman and UAE, our Cargo division offers air freight
some real advantages. We have special cargo flights
to take care of the regular traffic of lobster, live
animals, and fresh meat from Somalia to UAE.
We
have total 8 aircrafts of our own and we are arranging
other types of aircrafts as per the request of the customers
either on ACIM basis or charter basis.
Star
airlines offers charter flight service leasing contracts
and all kinds of aviation related services in addition
to the scheduled flights operation.
Star
airlines has its client lists including United Nations,
ICAO, Aviation Assistance, WFP etc.
Star
Airlines offices situated in all major cities in Somalia
such as Hargeisa, Burao, Kalabaid, Burama, Erigavo,
Berbara, Bosasso, Galkayo, Mogadishu, Djibouti, and
in Europe and America.
Star
Airlines is registered in Mogadishu, the capital of
Somalia as a private carrier and it started its operation
with some aircrafts on wet lease basis and now it owns
5 aircrafts on its own.
Our
shipping company division is arranging shipments, clearing
the shipments at Dubai ports. We also arrange shipments
from Oman to Berbera port in Somalia with cements, wheat
flour, etc.
We
also arrange transit/tourist and visit visa for customers
at reasonable rate.
Mr.Osman
Abdi Hassan is the Managing Director and
the President of Star Group of Companies.
Mr. Osman started his business with hired
charter Aircrafts in 1990. Now with his hard working
nature and self motivated business attitude, we have
more than five companies under his management and a
fleet of eight aircrafts based in Sharjah and in Somalia.
Mr.M.M.Sharafuddeen,
M.COM, is the Manager Finance and Administration,
the man behind the Managing Director to co-ordinate
his business in the right successful way.
Mr.Ismail
Abdi Hassan, brother of Mr.Osman Abdi
Hassan is the Dy. Managing Director and General Manager
in Somalia. Under his guidance and able supervision
all the activities in Somalia are carried on.
We
have about 200 personnel directly and more than 500
persons indirectly engaged in our business activities
in the UAE and in Somalia. Our potential skilled staff
are working with us in the team spirit and 24 hours
round the clock service is rendered to our customers
and passengers.
Our
Airport operation staff is working round the clock to
clear our transit passengers coming from all over the
world to Dubai International Airport for our connection
flights to Africa.
We
have our agency offices in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah,
Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Qaiwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman
in the UAE and in Doha (Qatar), Muscat (Sultanate of
Oman), Kuwait, Damascus (Syria), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia),
Sana (Yemen), Libya, London, Cardiff, Oslo, Sweden,
Holland, Poland, Finland, Italy, Canada, Washington,
and in Hong Kong.
We
are getting regular passengers from all over the destinations
in Europe, Asian Countries, and Far East Countries to
different destinations in Eastern Africa.
We
have our own branch offices in Hargeisa, Burao, Boroma,
Kalabaid, Galkayo, Bosasso, Mogadishu, and Berbera in
Somalia and Djibouti, Nairobi, Ethiopia, Eritria etc.
We
are one of the most rapidly expanding business group
